Description
Color version of Sarmatian Struggle is the forth drawing in my Cultural Zoo series. I was inspired by a golden ornament recently recovered from a Sarmatian burial mound but I adapted the composition and details to suit my personal design aesthetic. The antlers of the deer were often used as an alternative depiction of the tree of life for the Sarmatians and the Scythians.
